In the House of Commons, Lieuten-ant-Colonel Amery, replying to Sir J. Norton Griffiths, said the Oversea Settlement Committee had discussed with the representatives of the Dominions the possibilities of land settlement in the Dominions for retired Army officers. The Government could not cooperate in such schemes unless the proposed Migration Bill were carried.
