An urgent reply was requested, so that, it it is favourable, arrangements can proceed. UNITED CLUB. At tho annual meeting of the Springston South Football Club Mr G. Mcßean presided. The chairman, in his opening remarks, feelingly referred to the loss the club had sustained in tho. deaths of Messrs M. F. Kyan (president) and F. Chapman,. The secretary wae instructed to convey to tho relatives the club's deepest sympathy. As tho -'lub considered insufficient players were available for a local team, discussion, regarding the amalgamation with Lincoln ended with eix delegates being appointed to meet an equal number from Lincoln. A meeting of tho delegates was hel3 in. the Springston South Soldiers' Memorial Hall, Mr G. Mcßean presiding. Conditions governing amalgamation vere fully tho following motion meeting with tho approval of all delegates:—"That one round of i tlie competition bo played at Springston Scuth and the other at Lincoln, and that tho delegates be instructed to do their best to secure an, equal number of home matches in each round 1 , this to apply to both senior and junior teams. It was decided that the name of the club ibo known aa the United Football Club, er.3 that a senior and junior tram be entered in, the Ellesmere Sub-Union competitions. It was decided that the club's colours be green, and black hoopa, with shorts of a dark coloured material, alio that one evening per week be devoted to training both at Lincoin and Springatcn South. The annual rae»ting oi the Jrwell Football Club wa-3 provided o - 'er by Mr E. T. McMillan, and there was a good attendance. Tha report stated that, after a lapse of five years, owing to the war and shortage of players, the club decided to enter a. team in the Elleamere Rugby ■Sub-Union's senior competition last season. Although the team had won only a few matches, it had given, a good account of itself, and had improved grreatly toward the latter end cf the Geason. Thanks were due to the old members for their interest and help. The club's senior team had won the district seven-a-«ide tournament. Mr Washier had fr«rei» the use of his paddock for matches, Mr C. Skinner had •riven ft medal for the most impreved player, Mr Rowley had given the goal posts, nnd Mr Itrslop [riven the labour to erect a pavilion.
