ROYAL MUSICAL SOCIETY.
The opening.concert of the season which ia' being given by the Royal Musical Society oh' Saturday evening in the King Edward Barracks is expected to draw one of the largest' audiences ■ that even 'attended the 'Musical Society's concerts. Mis 3 Rosa • Alba, the talented soprano from the. Sydney Conservatorium, should delight all who hear her; Mr Sydney Butler is one of the best tenors th'ajti has appeared here in oratorio*; and Mr Chas. Clarkson, the New Zealand > basso, is a singer of great ability. These three principals are expected to give a very fine, interpretation of their respeotive parts. Ths full chorus and orchestra, .numbering nearly 250 performers, should be heard to great advantage in this ball. The seating ainangements have been well thought out, and give everyone a good view of the stage. The box plan is mow -of en at Begg and Co.'s
