CASUALTIES.
Robert A. King, of 9G9 Colombo 6treet, fell off a tramcar between Bealey avenue and Bean, Btreet on Saturday and suffered concussion of the brain. He was taken to the Hospital, and last' night his condition was reported to bo * satisfactory. While playing football on Saturday afternoon, B. P. Hammond, of Akaroa. received an injury which necessitated his removal to the Ohristchurch Hospital. Etnel Muir, one of the. inmates of the Sumner School for the Deaf and Dumb, broke her left arm on Saturday while playing, and was admitted to tho Ohristchurch Hospital. ■ > ■ (FHBBS ASSOCIATION TELECHAJTS.) "While blasting rock on hia property at Rangitoto to-day, Charles Nicholson had his right hand blown off, and alsc lost tho tips, of the fingers of his left hand, and had an eye injured. He is 85 years of age, married, with four children, and is an employee of the Harbour Board. HASTINGS, April 23. •An elderly, well-drcwed wonmu was found dead on a vacant section early this morning. There was an envelope in her clothing postmarked "Stoke-on-Trent, England," and addressed tc Marian D. Baird, 55 Trafalgar street, Nelson. No signs of foul play wen found.
