BOWLING.
N.Z. TEAM IN LONDON. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z Cable Association.) LONDON, April 22. The Lord Mayor, the Rt. Hon. James Roll, welcomed the New Zealand bowlers at the Mansion House. He said that the New Zealandere would always hold a warm place in the hearts ot the 'British people for the 2 at t.| they had played in the war. He occasionally played bowls himself, aad he was glad to see that the old game was not being displaced by Buch modern games as golf and tennis. Mr Mat Barnett (Christchurch), president of the team, conveyed Mr Maasey's message to the Lord Mayor, statins? that many of the team went to Britain with grateful recollections of the hcepitality to their soldier sons shown, by London and throughout Britain. Mr Barnett said he hoped thatjthe vkit would lead to a return visit by a liritish team.
