ASIATIC SEAMEN.
BRITISH UNION'S POLICY. (By Cable—Press Asaociation-JCopyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, April 21. With reference to reports m London legarding a protest by the Brisbane seamen against the inclusion of Chinese and Japanese ■ in the Seamen's Union, the' Australian Press Association learns that the : British Sailors' Union possesses no 'colour bar rule, but, though it has admitted a few Japanese, it has always excluded Chinese, on the ground that it would be unfair^ to accept a subscription when the union's policy consistently aimed -at: the exclusion o£ Chinese from British ships.
