He left a note suggesting that tho act •was premeditated. He also left a will, leaving his property and effects to a sister in London., Stroudo is believed to have been" a Londoner by birth. He was a director of an ironsand company, and an engineer and contractor by ocCBpatIOn 'INVERCAItGILL, April 21/ Mabin Smith, aged 21, was admitted to tho hospital suffering from a bullet wound in the stomach. He was engaged with two othors at target prao tice with a pea rifle when he was accidentally shot. His condition is critic cal. • '
