A strong south-west wind retarded -work on the waterfront yesterday. The Poherua, 'which has ooal to discharge, could not be. worked-for this reason,The Breeze arrived here from Timnru yesterday morning, and ifl timed to sail, ait noon to-day for Pioton. and Wanganui. The Calm is now due here from the South to-morrow, to load for Wellington. The Karu will not arrive heje before tomorrow from Wellington. She is to sail on Saturday on the return. <trip. The Wootton will ■ probaMy arrive on Saturday with, timber (torn Greymouth. She will load produce h*te for Wellington, sailing Monday. Having discharged 600 tons of Sydney cargo here, and loaded 600 tons of produce and general cargo for the eaaie port, ithe Moeraki left last night for Wellington. She is to leave .that port this afternoon for Sydney and Hobart. The K&itangata eailed last night for Greymouth, where she is to load for , Sydney. The Poherua and the Komo are ito leave here to-day for Westjxxrt and Greymoutli, respectively. The Waikouaiti, which is due here this morning, will, on the completion of' her present voyage to Auckland, return to Post Qhalmers for survey and overhaul. The Kamona arrived here yesterday morning, bht has net yet. commenced discharge of her cargo of timber. . The £akapo, which ia also bringing a full cargo of timber from Greymouth, is due here on.-Sunday or Monday. The Kowhai is now due' from Timaru on Saturday, and ie timed to sail on Saiturday evening for Nelson. . , The Flora ie dtie here frotn Onehunga direct on Sunday. She will load here for New Plymouth, and should get away about Tuesday. The Wakatu left here last evening for Kaikoura and Wellington. She -shawld arrive back here on Monday night, and is timed to eail again on Tuesday.The Otira is expected here, from Wellington to-morrow, to discharge Montreal cargo. She will later proceed to Dunedin and Australian" ports. The Mahana left here yesterday afternoon for Port Chalmers, where she will complete discharge.
