In the course of his remarks at the returned soldiers' reunion at Carterton, Mr A. P. "Whatman, speaking of the land he gave for settlement at Ahiakouka—some 218 acres in extent—said it might not be generally known that one of the conditions in the soldiers' leases was that the land had to be taken for thirty years and that an infant had to appear each year. So far, he was delighted to say, the soldiers were adhering to the conditions!—"Wairarapa Age." Keep the kiddies well. is sure protection against coughs and colds. Sprinkle baby's pillow. Older children can take it s on sugar. 1
