REMANDED. Harold George, aged -30 years, who absconded some months ago while on bail, and who was- recently extradited from Adelaide, wes charged with having, on November 15th, at Christchurch, stolen from th-3 person of John Douglas the sum of £45, and having, at Addington on the same date, attempted ito steal irom the. person of some person unknown. On the application of {He police, he was remanded to appear again on April 22nd. ' DISMISSED. A charge asainst Harold' Leslie McFariano, of having committed rape on a married woman, .was dismissed, the Magistrate holding that no jury would convict on the evidence before the Court:
