The Executive Sub-Committee of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association passed a, resolution requesting the proprietors of theatrical and picture entertainments to refrain from performing on ■ Anzao Day, out of. respect to the memory of the fallen.

A special service in commemoration of Anzac Day will be held in the Cathedral on Sunday next at 3ip.m. All old boys and friends of Christ's. College are invited to attend this service. In connexion with Anzac Day, the Canterbury Education Board suggests that all school children in its district should be assembled in the morning at their respective schools, and that, a ceremony appropriate to the occasion oe held, and the schools be then closed for the remainder of the day.
