Bidel, the famous French anima? trainer, tells the following- story. He had his menagerie at Paasy, where he did uncommonly well. After a very successful day he was induced by a friend to go with him to Paris. There they must have had a tempestuous night, for he did not arrive home until 7 in the morning. On his return- he was confronted by Mme. Bidel, who always scared lum out of his 6kin, although wild beasts had no terror for him. On 'seeing her approach he rushed into the tiger's cage to escape her. "Coward!" she cried out, as she shook her fist at the bars.
