PEDIGREE CATTLE CEBTITIOATE ALTERED. (PUSS ASSOCIATION tttWJHAH.) HASTINGS. April 18. A special meeting of the Council of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Breeders Association discussed the. action or a member in altering calving dates on three offioial pedigree certificates or imported cattle. ■-, , j. .n.* It was unanimously decided tna-t tne principal agricultural and pastoral societies of the Dominion be informed of the circumstances, and that the council recommend to the societies that none of the beasts in questioned be allowed to compete or exhibit in any show ring in the Dominion for, say, three years. A very prime draft of 200 fat cattle was brought out from Mr R. W. Lochhead's Tarndale (Marlborough) station during the week-end, by way of Jack's Pass, Hanmer. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring president, Mr R. > Bailey. The remits to the provincial conference were approved: "That 'this conference favours the establishment of a line of insulated steamers, for' the carriage of our produce to overseas markets;" "that this conference considers the price of threshing unreasonable, and that the profits of the mill-owners are excessive.''
