ANZAC DAY.

to THE EDITOR or ' THIS PRXS3." Sir, —Anzac Day, with all its ceremonies, is approaching, and I would like to suggest that this year our city does not treat it as a day of mourning, with all- the' flags at half-mast, as m previous years. Instead, let us hoist our Bops to the top of the mast, quietly rejoicing over deeds achieved, and to the honour and glory of those who will not return. I'feel sure that those gallant men who sleep where they fell would haveit thus, and would be the last to wish j our city to ho a city of mourning. I j make this suggestion respectfully to our City Council.—Yours, etc., MILES, j
