OBITUARY.

Mr Malcolm McCallum, who had resided in Dannevirke for nearly 30 years, died there qp Tuesday at the ago of CI years. He was born in Burr head, Renfrewshire, Scotlanu, and came to New Zealand 47 years ago. He was for some years engaged in business as a watcnmaker in Clu istchui cli, aiterwards carrying on a similar business in Dannevirke He was a heavy loser by t)he big fire in l>annevirke some time ago, and his health Buffered as a consequence. He is survived by a widow and two married daughters. A Sydney message says that Mr E. C. Beckett, secretary to Birt and Company, dropped dead while playing golf.
