BASIC WAGE- IN AUSTRALIA. (By Cabte—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and U.Z. Cablo Association.) (Received April loth 7.40 p.m.) • MELBOURNE, April 15. The report of the Basic Wage Commission, exhaustively dealing with the cpst of living shows that the inclusive cost in Melbourne in 1914 was £3 7s 9d, while in 1920' it was £o IGs 6d. In Sydney in 1920 the cost was £5 1' >s Id, in Brisbane £5 6s 2d,' in Adelaide £5 10s Id, in Perth £5 13s lid, and in Hobiwt-.-is 163 lid. 1
