THE COMPETITIONS.
NINTH DAY, Tho Christohurch Literary and Musical Competitions appear to be gaining interest ss the annual festival proceeds. There was a large attendance at the Theatre Royal last .night, whei; several recalls were, heard. The programme last night was rather long, and it was alter 11 o'clock before the results were announced, but-thero was not any undue' delay or a moment which was not pleasant.
