They provide for a standardised ball with a, maximum weight of 1.62 ounces and a minimum diameter of 1.62 inches, xvdacin? the lost ball penalty and increasing the out-of-bounds penalty. The committee announces that ribbed irons ■may bo barred in the near future, after the op->n amateur championships have been decided.
