THE YAP MANDATE.
NO CONCESSIONS BY JAPAN. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (iuatrtlftn and N.Z. Cable Association.) TOKIO, April 13. The newspaper "Maizu," which is regarded' as a Government organ, sayß the Japanese reply regarding the Is-land-of Yap is being drafted on the basis that no concessions will be made by Japan. Baron Yamota, Minister of Commerce, says that Japan is prepared to exercise a mandate over Yap, disregardine American protests. Thei Press, generally, regards the American attitude as unreasonable.
