Sir Thomas Mackenzie, in his speech at the W.N.K. reunion at Wellington on Monday, spoke in high praise of the Maori soldiers who took part in the war. Also, -when in Gallipoh, when watching a review, General Maxwell said to nim as a Canterbury regiment marched past: "It will be impossible to surpass these men anywhere." Jn allusion to the work in London, Sir Thomas specially mentioned Mr Nolan, who did so much towards the comfort and well-being of the men. He also spoke in praise of Miss fiallantyne and Mrs McHugh and their patrol work. ,
