The House of Commons sat all riight owing to a crisis arising regarding a vote of £2,000,000 to complete the vessels of Canada's merchant marine. [The Canadian Government owns a very large fleet of ships. The Canadian Government Merchant Marine, Ltd., whose ships are engaged in various oversea services, has a fleet of 51 steamers, ranging from 2200 tons up to 5800 tons register. There are also ten small steamers engaged in the coastal trado. In addition there are 70 steamers, mostly of small size, controlled by the Department of Agriculture, Department of Marine and Fisheries, the Post Office Department, the Minister of Railways and Canals, and the Department of the Naval Service.]
