ADDINGTON MARKET.

FURTHER DROP IN BEEF PRICES. (MX OCB COmtZBCIAL KDITOB.) Large yardings in most classes of stock featured the weekly market. Fat sheep were forward in greater numbers than for some whikt fat lambs, beef, and sto»3 sheep we»e penned quila oh a par with »■> cent sales. Prices were somewhat irregular for fat stock, and b*ef show?:l an allround decline. Prime wether mutton, which the demand from butchers haa kept, u.i to a good price compared with secondary quality, was also easier. On the other hand, lighter wether and ewe mutton eold a shade better than last week, and as this represents the bulk of the yarding, the sale generally wa=s a-3 good 33 anticipated. Store sheep sold irregularly, but on the whole a better tone was displayed than at the preceding sale. Dairy cows were in demand, pigs were a shade better, whilst store cattle and vealers were not wanted. STORE SHEEP. The big yarding comprised for the greater part ewes, drawn from widely scattered localities. Kaikoura and Marlborough sheep were forward in considerable numbers. In the morning, when there wa3 a big attendance of farmers, a firmer tone waa manifest, there being a better enquiry for eerviceable fort 3 of farmers' ewes. In the l;:ter > stages of the sale the improvement was not maintained, and prices came back.
