——-+- -- AITOUAL MEETING. . The annual meeting of the Chrißtchurch Highland Pipe Band was held on Monday in the noonis of the Scottish Society.. There was a good attendance of" members and honorary members. . Mr Mcpherson xjcoupied the chair in the.absence of the president, Mr G. Buist. '. ■ Tho annual report and balancetßneet, which were adopted,'.showed the band to bp in.a very, sound position. ~,; ' . ' , The following officers were elected:—Presi-. dent, Mr W. H. T«ce; Masra H. McDonald, A. -McGUlvray, Bates, McPherson-, Robertson/ Sutherland, Scott, and "Williamson; hbn. treasurer, Mr H. Mchon. secretary, l 'Mr E. A. Smith; auditors, Messrs Sutherland and Williamson; trustees, Messrs Harland and Williamson; Btoreman, Mr D.sHarland; committea, Messrs Sneddon,; Scott, Black, Gibson',' MdTaineh, and Harland.
