PROOF POSITIVE " GOLD CROWN" DOES DE- ' LIVER THE MILEAGE, f, Golfl Crown's" latest achievement is 37 4-10 miles to the gallon! Under test conditions a 4-cyl. Overland, driven bv Mr J. Cade, was filled on "Gold Island Motors Garage. The route taken was Papanui road—Harewood road—through West Melton, via Yaldhurst. All who know the route will appreciate that this is a fair test journey, and the distance, 18 7-10 miles, was covered on a half-gallon of "Gold Crown." In other words, the average was 37 4-10 miles to the gallon 1 Only standard equipment UBed, and one observer carried with the driver. In previous tests which Mr Cade had carried out for his own satisfaction, the best mileage produced had been 32 and 35 miles to the gallon respectively. It irf quite evident, therefore, that in open competition "Gold Crown" has yet to be beaten.
