(mxtn ASSOCIATION TkLZORAIO WELLINGTON, April 11. The' Chief Justice and Lady Stout had a narrow escape from serious injury on Saturday -while motoring iu tho neighbourhood of Karori. The., car, when going down a hill, got out of control alia dashed down at the rate of forty miles an hour. The.driver displayed great presence of mind, and instead of attempting to take a corner at the bottom at the speed he was going, turned the car into a fence. The car was badly' damaged, and the occupants were very fortunate in escaping With minor cuts" and bruises. The Chief Justice was lame to-day as the result of injuries to his ]mee*s; Lady Stoui was slightly cut about tho face.
