ASHBURTON HOSPITAL BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Aehburton Hospital Bsird was held yesterday. Present —Messrs C. Beid (chairman), F. w; Watt, W. H. Bobinson, W. Lochead, A. Horsey, J. Bruce, and W, T. lill. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £1377 26.' ■'%'',' A circular letter was read from Dr. Valrntine, Director-General of Health, stating that for. the present it had been decided that the Health 'Department -would bear the cost of the admission<of crippled children to military hospitals for. treatment, and for which it paid the Defence; Department.£2 2s per head per week, ■ and recovered such portions thereof as the circumstances of the cases warranted irom the parents ox guardians. Mesdames\E; Bnddock'and B. Galbraith "were appointed lady visitors fox the month, and Messrs W. H. Bbbineon and "W. J.
