SUNDAY CONCERT.
*_ — The Liberty Theatre was unable to accommodate all who sought admission to the foTcrtoenth Sunday concert, ijrivell last night by the Christchurch Professional Orcbeetra. Under the baton of Mr Albert'Bidgood the orchestra played the following pieces:—Overture, "Morning, Noon, and Night" (Suppe); "Londonderry Air" (Old Irish—«rrang»4 by G. O'Connor Morris); suite, ''Rustic Revelry" (Fletcher); Prelude to 111. act "Lohengrin" (Wagner); suite, "Joseph and Hie Brethren'' (Sohiuid); the tone poem, "Findiaiidia," (Sibelius); and "Love Song" (Taubert) for oboe and strings, the solo part being taken by Mr Geo. Bonuington. Mr Walter Lanham play id the trombone solo, "Lend Me Your Aid" (Gounod). A feature of tho concert was the singing of Mias Gladys Verona by the courtesy ot Messrs : Ben and John Fuller. Miss Verona sang the following eohgs:—Mad 6cone from "Lucia" (Donizetti), with flute obligate, Mr Albert' Hutton; (a) "Tho Shepherdess of the Fiold" (arranged bv Tiersot); (b) "Chanson Indone" i (Rimslty Korsakow). Mias Lillian Harpor acted as. accompanist*.
