Buyers were present for good young droughts and harness horse 3, and many of this class were forward, with the result : that a good clearance was made under tho j hammer. Withell (Papanui),' pony, gig, andharness £49, edght-year-old gelding £l4 10s; client, horse, oart, 'end harness £9 10s, five-year-old hack £8; H. Aged hacjks and ( harness horses sold at from £2 15s to £5. SATURDAY'S POULTRY MARKET. Messrs J. B. Merrett and Co. had a large entry of poultry on Saturday. > Prices were good, and there was a keen demand for mime quality. Table chickens lealised 6s 6d to 13s 9d, hens 3s 6d to 8s 9d, ducks 6e 6d to lis, pullets 8s 6d to 22& geese 8s to 10b 6d> turkeys lis to 47s 6d, all per pair. EGG MARKET.
