♦— • CANTERBURY LAMES' ASSOCIATION. Tho annual meeting of tlio Canterbury Ladies' Hookey Association was held on Friday evening. Miss Digby prcsidod, and the following were also -present:-- Mesdames Page <and lYiiitmore, and Mr H. Rojrera (vicepresidents), awl tied spates from Oxford Tornice, Wliarenui, IVigby'a, Sydenham, AVjiimairi, Training College, und Wairewa. (Little, River) Clubs, Xla-a E. Miles (hon. secretary), and Miss M i'earce (assistant secretary). Tho annu.il report and bulaneo-shoet showed the Association to bo in «. sound financial . position, there being a credit balance tif £ 45 14s 3d. The past season (tho report slated) lii.-J bjen a vtry *uccosßful on«, and although tho representative team were unsuccessful in winning .the tournainant, they Jiad }.ut up a very creditable performance. A lenjftjjy discussion took pla.co upon tha advisability or otherwise of holding "tho annual (ournarneiit under the- present arrange* incut*, and Mas G. Boar, Mrs E. Miles, and Mr H..
