President Harding informed a delegation of the Women's Peace Party that the present international situation does not permit of any move towards disarmament on the part of the United States. said that while ho is deeply interested in the question, he does not feel that conditions abroad warrant the recommendation of any disarmament plan as a part of thi> legislative programme for tlie next Congress.
