GOVERNOR-GENERAL ON WEST COAST.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TBUCOKAM.I GREYMOUTH, April 7. Lord Jcllicoe and party arrived ci G p.m. The town was decorated, and at the public reception held in the Town Hall at 8 o'clock a largo crowd was present. Tho Mayor, Mr J. 1). /Lynch, presented an address. MrT.ls. Y. Scddon, M.P., also spoke. Lord Jellicoe spoto for half ah hour. He paid a tribute to the loyalty of tho New Zealanders evidenced during ana since the war. The late Lord lishcr was the onlv man Hie knew who fully ' foresaw the "German methods of_ naval warfare and , wholesale submonnmijs. Ho warmly ihanked tho "West Coasters for their very cordial welcome. To-morrow the Governor-General will , visit the State mines and hospital; ttlstt ~ meet tho children, ,nnd attend a Vicfij • Regal ball and Caledonian "ittgle«d«" in the evening. He proceeds to Hosttika on Saturday.
