GOVERNOR'S BAY. The Autumn Show of the Port Victoria. (Governor's Bay) Horticultural Society was held in the Allandale Hall, and was largejp attended. Tho exhibit* rilled all the available staging. . , Tho. Misses Bradley, Charteris Bay, staged a. lnrge and varied collection of blooms, ibrith annual and perennial, the asters and zinnias being extremely good. Mr M. J. Gilpin, Governor's Bay, staged upwards- of CO varieties of rosas, and considering' the time of the year, they were of great merit. Mr W. Gadick, Allandale, exhibited a' larre collection of well-grown potatoes. Tho exhibits of fruit', and flowers were goodi but the . classes for vegetables lacked competition. Mr L. it. Bradbury, Cashmere Nursery, acted .is judge, and gave every satisfaction. Mr' W. A. Carpinter, lion, secretary, and his committee rands perfect arrangements for the show, ojid the ladies provided afternoon tea. Mr W. A. Carpinter, on behalf of St. ■ ■Cuthbe-rt's Vestry, welcomed the. now Vicar, tha Eov. G. B. Nauson and Mrs Nanson/- to the district. Mr Kanson briefly thanked the gathering for their warm welcome, und trusted that his labour in their midst would be of a fruitful .nature. The following is the prise-list:— Flowers—Six -roses: 3. F.
