GOVEBNMENT DECIDE TO "MASK TIME." (riIESS ASSOCIATION TMJtCRAU.) WELLINGTON, April 6. In view of the difficulty that is likely , to bo met with in securing accommodation and employment during tho winter months, Cabinet has decided to modify the immigration policy, re- • stricting' passages to those immigrant* who have assured employment and accommodation to go to or. their arrival in New Zealand, So far the Immigration Department ha,< experienced very littlo difficulty in dealing with new arrivals. This is considered tho more gratifying when it is rememl>crcd that from April. 1920, to March, 1921, somo 9-">43 immigrants landed on our shores. Of this number 4730 came under the nomination system, and 4813 under the Imperial settlement scheme. In view of the present outlook in the Dominion it is considered advisablo to "mark time'' meanwhile. j
