KAIAPOI FIRE BRIGADE.
Ihc fifty-first Annual .mooting of the 3C*iapoi Vo'.urkeer fir* Brigade was held last evening. Superintendent J. A. Mealing* presided over a full attendance of numbers. The annual report atated Iliat- prattles* Ivad been well attended during the year, the Brigade, at present being- at full strength. ThoBrigade had boea represented at the prov.in-, cial demons'ration at Askbitrton, also at tho Unikd Fire Brigades' Demonstration at Napier, and th? teams' performances uto creditable. Curing tbe year membsrs had been called ant on three occasions, and had euppree=cd tho fires without serious Jamaga dorra. The estimated fire loas for tjio y*or was £750, and tho insurants valuns JMiCO. The Brigade' competitions .bed be«i keenly contested, the. Citizc-ns' dip beinj wen by Fireman E. Slal'isch, with G.
