FOOTBALL.
EAKAIA CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Bakaia Football Club was held in the Library on Thursday evening. There was a good attendance of members, presided over by Mr A. Shannon. (The balance-sheet showed a sum of £4 outstanding. Correspondence was read from the club's delegate, Mr O'Brien. The secretary reported having received £2. from Mr P. i&atligan, a.nd a vote of thanks wag passed. It was resolved that this year the club would run a junior team only. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr Leonard White; president. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes; vice-presidents, Messrs W„ R. Dunstan, J. Oromie, J. Connolly, J. Langjey, J. Moriand, | P Galligan, H. Muckle, W. H. Piper, C. A. C. Hardy, W. Holmes, A. Marshall, G. Pluck, J. Gardiner, W. Black; secretary and treasurer, Mr V. C. McPhail; custodian, Mr H. Hewson; committee, Miessrs H. How&on, A. Mead A. Wilson, H. McLean, A. Greygoose, V.' Smith, P. Smith, S. Moore, and J. Galligan; club captain. Mr A. Shannon; trustees, Messrs V. C. McPhail and A. Shannon; club delegate, Mr O'Brien. A donation of one guinea was voted to the library funds. It was resolved that a club dance be held, but the question of .'holding a emoke concert was left to the committee. The following! selectors were appointed: —Mfesrs A. Mead. A. Shannon, ond H. Hewson. Mr A. C. Mead was appointed coach.
