Tho Note assorts that the Soviet, has fultillcd it-« .iMigntians ro.-jjivd.-n.-i the repatriation of French citizens I'rom Russia, and adds iliat, if France dties not comply, the Soviet will take suitable steps. (Received April Ist. 7.30.p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 31.
It is understood that the lat.'st Japanese operations in Siberia have caused Mr Hughes, Secretary of State, to start investigations into the entire question of the continued ocmaiion by the Japanese of Eastern Siberia and Northern Sakhalin. It is learned that tho 'State Department is considering sending a Note to Tokio suggesting tho withdrawal of Japanese troops from those regions!
