" (1) The subject may be anything the competitor chooses: Man, woman, or child, Maori or European, still life or action, town or country, •> interiors or % exteriors, life, stock or wild life, 'landscape or seascape, farm life, hush life, town life, or sea life, wort or pley—whatever interests' thfe competitor enough to make Kim photograph it. The novelty, beauty, and interest for the public of the photograph will be the qualities' considered, in awarding the prises. ,(2) Every photograph Kent in must have been taken in New Zealand or its dependencies. ' (9) Packets should be plainly marked ''Photographic,'Competition," and addressed "The Editor, The Weekly ; Press and Referee," Christchurch, N.Z."
