METROPOLITAN TROTTING CLUB.
♦ EASTER MEETING. The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Easter Meeting will be concluded at Addington to-day. With the exception of the Champion Stakes the fields are large, and include many of the best pacers and trotters in commission at the present time. The Champion Stakes, one of the principal three-year-old classic races of the year, has drawn a field of four, .and the meeting bet-ween Childe Pointer, Copa de 0;o Jnnr., and the Southland representative Downcast, should result in a.keen and interesting struggle. A special tram service will run at frequent intervals during the day.
