CANADIAN RAILWAYS.
PBIVATE CONTROL PROPOSED. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, March 28. The Montreal correspondent of the "New York Tribune',' states that political circles are discussing the transfer of the control of tlhe Canadian railways from'tbo Government into the hands of a privately-owned syndicate, -which will operate and, perhaps, also own them. It is understood that a special session of Parliament may be called in the autumn to discuss the matter. The Opposition recently attacked the Government as a result of its operating the lines at a loss. .
