OXFORD SPORTS.
The Oxford Sports Association revived their annual gathering on Monday with much success. The sports wore held in Pearson Park, and an attractive programme waft provided. There were large fields, especially for the bicycle and flat races, aid every event was keenly contested. The attendance of district residents and visitors from Christchurch was large. The Weather wee threatening, at times, and a little.- rain fell, but not sufficient to interfere with the success of the gathering. A novelty in the way of local music was provided by the Christchurch Highland Pipe Band. The result* .were as follows: — 'Boys' Race, under 14, 100yds—W.Burgess 1, E. Alford 2.
