(By Cable—Press Association—-opyrigil) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received March 28th, 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 28. Seventy-five thousand people attended the second day's racing of the Australian J.C.'s Autumn Meeting, which was held in muggy weather. The racing generally was'of a high standard, and there was remarkably little separating the placed horses in several races. Eurythmic's brilliant finish was a feature of the day, stamping him as a champion. Wish Wynne, in the Flying Handicap, repeated her smart performance of a fortnight earlier, but was fully extended by Victrola. Furious won thd Champagne Stakes in fine style, confirming the good impression formed of her pn Saturday. The First Steeplechase -was practically tree from mishap, Jack Friar beingi the only horse to fall. He subsequently succumbed to the injuries received, and the rider, Mjuonej% was removed to the hospital, suffering from slight concussion. In the Nursery Handicap a hig field of two-year-olda ' faced the starter. Kijtray, when near the ■ front, fell at the half-miie post, bringing down ; five others. M. Connell sustained fractured I ribs and concussion, and O'Bryan, with concussion, was removed to the hospital. The Toc.il Handicap provided a stirring contest. Erasmus was seemingly the winner when a fur- i long from home, but .was gamely challenged I by Rosewalk, who scored a narrow victory, j The takings amounted to £IOI,OOO, as against I £105,000 on . last Easter Monday.
