Profiteering must cease (says the ''National printer-Journalist," Chicago, for February). No man or set of men can justify the prices that have been exacted for print paper. Grant every legitimate claim that might be suggested, double the price of labour, treble the price of pulp wood, and even then fou cannot come anywhere near the pinnacle of prices exacted, the past year. The confusion of issues must cease and the Press exert its power not only as to prices of Drint paper but it must protect the public in other commodities—coal, for instance-. Some profiteers do not seem to realise that the war is over.
