4 SUMMER SCHOOL COMMITTEE. ■ A meeting of the Sumner School Oommit<tee was held night. Present^—Mr D. Lumsden (chairman), and. Mesdames F. Barber, W. G. Koberts, and D. Bates, and ■Messrs G-. A. Alexander, C. Benjamin, J. 31. Thomas, J. Browne, and the Rot. E. C. ~VY. Powell.' The Works Committee reported that certain repairs loathe fences would "be undertaken at once. The frub-committee reported tkat the net proceeds of the Prince and Princess Carnival -would bo in the vicinity of £375. A sub-committee', consisting of Mre.F. Barber, and Messrs J. H. Thomas, 0. Benjamin, G. IT. Allen, and J. H. Reay, ware appointed to make a full report upon the etate of the school grounds, with a view ■to undertaking a comprehensive scheme of repairs improvements. 33ie headmaster's report showed a roll of 361, with an average attendance, of 235 for the paet four wee&s.
