MEETING IN WELLINGTON. (press association* telegram.) WELLINGTON, November 9. A Labour Conference convened by the New Zealand Alliance of Labour for the purpose of discussing moro efficient methods of industrial organisation opened to-day. •• There was a very large attendance of delegates of workers who are already organised on a national basis. Tho organisations represented are: Tho Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, Enginedrivers, Firemen and Cleaners' Association, New Zealand Waterside Workers Federation, Federated Seamen's Union, New Zealand Drivers' Federation, Tramway Employees' Federation, Federated Cooks and Stewards, New Zealand Coal, Gold. Shale, and Quarry Workers Federation, Amalgamated Society 01 Engineers, Boilermakers' Federation, Moulders' Federation, Metal Workers' Assistants Federation, New Zealanu Freezing and Allied Trades Industrial Federation, Bootmakers' Federation, Tailors and Cutters' Federation, New Zealand Painters' Federation, Furniture Workers' Federation, New Zealand Timber Workers' Federation, New Zealand Workers' Union, New* Zealand Federated Engine-drivers'. New Zealand Storemen's Industrial Assffrtation. Mr M. J. Mack, secretary of the A.P.RS-, was appointed chairman. The Conference is n-jt, open to the Press.
