BENZINE ON FIRE.

(press association teleijram.)' TE KTJITI, November 8. A fire, fraught with dangerous possibilities, occurred on a goods train which left Te Kuiti for Taumarunui nt 6 a.m. to-day. Some three miles from Te Kuiti a spark from the engine ignited a consignment of 800 cases of benzine, consigned to Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Mr R. Winger, Taumarunui, and valued at £600. The patent fire extinguisher on the train proved useless, and the train was shunted back to Te Kuiti, •where the fire brigade coped with the outbreak.
