Reminiscences of campaigns that made the name of New Zealand famous were indulged in at the second annual reunion dinner of the officers of the First Canterbury Regiment, whidh was held last night in Freeman's Cafe, Colonel R. Young, presiding over an attendance of about seventy officers from various parts of the Dominion. Grace was said By the Rev. Dunnage, C.F. After the toast .of "The King" had been honoured, the chairman proposed that of "Absent Friends." Colonel G. J. Smith proposed "The Regiment, N.Z.E.F.," the toast being responded to by Colonel Loach. Musical and other items were {riven by Majors Norton, M.C., and T. Si. Charters, Captains Wellstead and Lascelles, and Lieutenants Crisp, Owen, and "Wharton, and selections wero ulayed by Mr "Willyams's banw. The committee who had charge of tlho arrangements were Colonels Young and H. Stewart, Major R. Row, Captain. Lascelles, and Lieutenants Foster and Harman.
