"LOHENGRIN."

TO THTS EDITOR OF "THE PItMS." Sir,—lf you will kindly indulgo me with the necessary space, I would like to call the attention of the Y.W.C.A. singing class (whose performance I witnessed at the Choral Hall) to the absurdity of adorning "Lohengrin" -with a modern German pickelhaube. Surely a very small amount of investigation would have prevented a "faux pas" of that sort-. There are extant pictures and illustrations of -this hero, as per "Wagner's" intention, surely to bo found in our city , without causmg more merriment than is seemly,, in t'lio wrong season.—Yours, etc., VERB. SAP.
