Tun thousand organisers and canvassers, employing nil sorts of media, including airplanes, engaged in t'ho Scottish liquor poll. The publicans and parsons vied with one another through a strenuous day. Intense public interest was displayed, the opposing parties parading the streets with banners, shouting war-cries. The only dull places were the hotels. In tho liquor poll, 24 wards in Glasgow voted for no change, nine for the limitation of licensee, and four for nolicense. Ninety-four out of 1600 licenses will be cancelled. Aberdeen voted for continuance in all words.
