POULTRY RAISING IN NEW ZEALAND. « — < SCIENTIFIC FEEDING RECOMMENDED. Commenting on tho "wide-spread oil" thusiasm with which poultry-raising is being; taken up in the Dominion, an authority on the subject gave it as his opinion that the main reason for its success in this country iB the fact that local breeders aro prepared to go to a good deal of trouble to select suitable food for their chicks. Most breeders, whether on a large or .small scale, know that the present and futnre health of a chick largely depends on the quality of its food. It will be 'of interest to all, therefore, that there is on tho market to-day a food preparation which is guaranteed to contain only the highest quality ingredients, selected by an expert who has devoted many years investigating the value of certain "foods, known as "Eureka Chick Food." This product is made up by Messrs G. H. Woods and Co., of this city, and is fast becoming famous. Already several leading poultrymen have gone out of their way to give unsolicited testimonials. which fact speaks for itself. In order to give local poultrymen an opportunity of examining the various lines made up for tho promotion of poultry-health, Messrs G. H. Woods have a display at the Poultry Show now in progress at the Barracks. Prominent also among these is "Eureka" Oyster Grit, a grit -which will be recognised at once as'being carefully ground to v. uniform size, this being one of the main essentials. The proprietors are convinced that "Eureka' Chicken Food" only needs to be given a trial to have the confidence of all thoso interested in the welfare of their uonltry. Their grain stores, where orders may be placed, are at tho corner of Lower High street and Barbados? street. Xo. 811 is the 'phono number.
