The fifty-third annual exhibition ot the Chrirtchurch Poultry, Pigeon, Canary, and Cat Club wa3 opened in t!>o Kins Udward Barracks yesterday afternoon. Tie entries were very lajrge, there 'bein~ 354 in tip open poultry classes (last ytar'a entries 573), 344 (332) in the utility poultry claeses, S2S (490) in the piseon cla?»e9, 190 (196) in tlio ciin&ry section, and 9-2 (182) in <h° tov da:: section. Several specialist clubs ore holding tbeir shows in conjunction with tho fixture, which compares more tljan favourably with previous ones.
